Say Hello To My Little Friend…

(Welcome, little buddy!)
Isn’t he cute?
He was made for me by my wonderful friend, Denise.
I purchased him through her Etsy shop: Uppitywomandesigns.
Denise makes sock puppies and sock kitties (child safe versions, too),
as well as lots of other fun goodies.
(Poe, don’t worry, you’re still top dog around here.)
I still have to name my new little friend. I haven’t decided what yet…
although the name “Pinky” has come up a few times.

My usual philosophy on life is: “If life gives you lemons - make lemonade”.
But I had a pretty rough day this last Tuesday,
and since I was headed over to Ballard anyway,
I decided to modify my philosophy slightly to:
“When life gives you lemons - go fabric shopping!”
So I stopped at The Quilting Loft and here is what I got:

(There are so many lovely fabrics at this quilt shop.)
All-in-all, between my fabric splurge and
my new little friend made with love by Denise,
I am back in good spirits again! : )
