The Future

This morning Josh and I got out and took care of some errands
(I know I’ve typed that many times before. I think these early Saturday morning errands are one way that we re-connect after a long week, esp. one where we haven’t seen much of each other.)

This was actually the first time I’ve been out of the house in days…
I have caught a really bad head cold and haven’t been able to breathe lately.
Not breathing can really slow a gal down.

I had to get out though, I was really running out of the sewing basics here….

Needles and bobbins.

The Bernina store that I go to has a program where your purchases (including getting your machine tuned up) are recorded and after you’ve spent a certain amount you receive a $10 credit for almost anything in the store.
Today I got $10 worth of thread - for free!
(It almost made the trip out with watery eyes and a drippy nose worth it.)

Nearby is Pacific Fabrics. I needed to stop in there for embroidery floss and more thread. Of course, I’d have to be near death not to give the remnant bin a thorough going through. Here are two that I brought home.

I don’t know what these will be in the future….

….but this is surely in my future.

Jenn Maruska Design is closed for the weekend.
The employee has taken sick leave.
The receptionist is not taking phone calls.
I’m going to bed.

Jenn *a-choo!*
