Does this 120 spool thread holder……..

….make me look Phat?

: D

I’ve been doing some spring cleaning in my studio.
I’ve outgrown my 60 spool thread holder and *gulp*,
decided to upgrade to the 120 spool holder.
(Gosh, that thing’s huge!)
I’ve also decided to get serious about my embroidery floss situation.
Egg cartons are economical and great and all… but for color matching
and efficient organization - not so much. So, I’ve ordered a DMC floss
color reference guide and I am slowly sorting out my floss and tearing down
 my egg carton towers.

Ahhhhh.
Looking at these neatly carded threads fills me with happiness.
Happiness because they are so organized, will save me time,
and will free up a whole dresser drawer! Yay!
Have you done any spring cleaning in your work space?

If so - tell me about it!

And have a great day!

I’ve been busy making a mess in my space so for this spring. :) Love your photos. Everything looks so nice!

But I LIKED the egg carton sorting system, it was eggcellent :-) I do have my floss on cards (got that little spinny thing to do it and everything) but I have no idea what their real colors are so I’ll just guess. I guess I just need to live vicariously through your flossy organization.

I finally carved out an actual space and claimed it as my craft corner. The Billy bookcase from IKEA holds all my stuff fairly well. Organization makes crafting so much easier.

Oh wow, that thread spool madoover thinger looks fantastic! I have all my threads just in a tupperware container and as much as I love tupperware, it’s just not cutting it. The spools unwind a little until I have this big, yet colourful, tangled mess. Where did you get it from? I’ll take two!

The cards, metal circles and stickers can all be bought at Joanns. They weren’t very expensive, either! : )

I have four spools of thread/ Black, white, red and pink. I am VERY exciting.

Hee hee, I’ve been cleaning the craft room. More like EXCAVATING. I found things I forgot I had. I also recently thrifted a pair of super cute pink rubber gloves in the cutest Japanese packaging. They made me want to super scrub the stove. That wasn’t very fun but the gloves did help spice it up a bit. :)

I haven’t yet, but I really, really, REALLY should :)

You’ve made me laugh out loud again today. Thank you for that.
And now I really have to get moving on my workroom post. You’re too fast for me lady.

At one time, i thought I had invented using binder rings for silk ribbon embroidery. Either everyone found out, or I was having an isolated fantasy.

    I love your organization!

No, no spring cleaning, but definitely have been making enough mess that needs to be spring cleaned! Does that make sense? :-)
I need to get me one of those spool holders.
