What Do You Make Of This?
Today was a great fabric finding day.
I haven’t been over to the Goodwill in a while,
so I made a quick trip to see what was new.

These two are especially pretty.
I’m not sure if they’re truly vintage or not.
But I liked the patterns alot.
Now - what to do with them?
(Pot holder backing? Decoration for tea towels?)
Any suggestions for this kitchen-y cotton?

I left with four good fabric finds.

I had to run some errands over in Ballard,
while I was there I visited The Quilting Loft.
They have beautiful fabrics.

The solids I already have plans for…
we’ll see what the future holds for the patterns.
Right now I’m really enjoying * this * cd while I work.
What are you listening to these days?
Cheers - Jenn : )

great fabrics - thrifting is a little more exciting lately here. It was pretty dry for a while.
I’m listening to my running mix a lot (not that I’m running a lot, but hey, I try) - I’ll have to post it.

The kitchen-y fabric is very cute. Could be pot holders, an apron, a tea cozy.
I’ve been listening to pandora.com while I’ve got the laptop going. That site plays a mix of songs/artists based on a particular song/artist that you enter. I like it because I can create different “stations” according to my mood.

I’ve never been to The Quilting Loft! I’ll have to check it out.

Thank you Jenn for your kind words on my blog.
Lucky you to have found such lovely fabric, I really love the one with the little teapots on.
I am also a big fan of the Quilting Loft. If you don’t want to spend money don’t go! It’s impossible to leave there without buying something.

Oh I just love her song “Love Song”! I have been thinking about buying her cd. Great fabrics too! When I lived in Seattle I use to go to the Goodwill on Rainer ~ great place.

Right now I am not listening to anything. Before I was listening to the tapes with rain/music..very peaceful..
I think the cotton fabric would make a nice tea towel/pot holder back..like you were thinking.

Beautiful fabrics! I would think tea towels or apron for the kitchen fabric. I should try seeing what I can find in the thrift store re: fabrics. I have never looked.
Thanks for the comment on my blog also. It is nice to hear from others.
As for music…it veries day to day my husband is a musician and has a few bands so there is always something playing whether I like it or not.

The kitchen-y fabric would make a cute tote that would be used as a re-usable grocery bag or for farmer’s markets or something.
I’m in desperate need for something new to listen to, i’m looking forward to the new gavin degraw and jason mraz. I’d also like to get Corinne Bailey Rae.

Cute thrift store fabrics Jenn–it’s always such a kick when you are able to score fabrics there that aren’t old polyester! lol
Very cute–I could see that fun kitchen print in lots of things–how about adding a border of it to some towels and making some matching potholders–or a cute apron if you have enough for one??
I’m sure you will come up with something fabulous–you always do!

I just found my way over to your site and am happy I did. Thaaose fabric finds are great! One time I got an entire bolt of fabric for only $1.49 and am certain the kid who went to the back to get the price probably made a mistake, but who was I to argue??? lol! I haven’t done anything with it yet, still awestruck over the good deal… I LOVE, love love that teapot fabric you found!!! Yes, tea towels, hot pads, etc. would be good. Maybe even a tea cozy. I can’t wait to see what you decide!
