Just So You Know…

Aliens Vs. Predator 2 was the best Will Smith movie I’ve seen in a long time!!!

What’s that, you say?

Will Smith isn’t in AVP2?

Yeah.

That confused me too for the first few minutes of the movie.

Here, let me explain:

I’m not sure exactly how or why Josh, myself and our friend John
became complete nincompoops on Christmas day.

We have been talking about going out to see AVP2
ever since we first heard it was being made.
And a Christmas opening day?
That sounds like the best Christmas present ever!

So, off we went.
We parked downtown and took an elevator and half a dozen up escalators up to the theater. Got in line and quickly noticed that AVP2 wasn’t listed as one of the movies being shown. Hm. Must have mistakenly gone to the wrong theater.

No worries.
Luckily there are two theaters very close to each other in downtown Seattle.
So, we took have a dozen down escalators,
walked a few blocks and stood in line at the second theater.
AVP2 is showing in theater #3.
We got our tickets.
We are early, the previews haven’t even started.
Anticipation is rising!

At least six previews and several car commercials later…

….the movie begins!
Wow. Check it out, it’s looking like AVP2 has a pretty good budget! And there is Will Smith driving down a deserted New York city street.

Hey, wait a minute! : /

Yes, somehow we managed to go to theater #2 instead of theater #3.

As it turned out, the three of us wanted to see “I Am Legend” anyway, so we just shrugged our shoulders and settled in. It was very good. Will Smith is fantastic, and this movie had plenty of thrills and chills. It was very intense!

But there must have been something in the air that day because our befuddlement continued as we took the wrong elevator to get to the parking garage and ended up heading upwards instead of downwards.

And I won’t bore you with how long it took us to find our way out of the parking garage, once we got to it.

I have many things to be thankful for in 2007.
Especially that we were able to find our way home on Christmas day!!!

: D

Now I’m back in my studio with lots of projects in the works.

Here’s a little preview of the new taskets I’m working on.
The fabric is really pretty, and I can’t wait to finish them.

Cheers!

Ha! What a story. I haven’t seen a movie in months, that sounds fun, even if I got lost.

Love the fabrics, I’ve got the one 3rd from the left, pretty!
